2nd National Seminar & Workshop on Computer Aided Drug Design 2009

 

 

 

 

Penang, 18 Jan 2010 – The 2nd National Seminar & Workshop on Computer Aided Drug Design held on 8 -11th December 2009 at Vistana the much anticipated event was a huge success. The focus of the seminar is to create exposure and promote awareness among local researchers of the current issues involved in computer aided drug design. Excellencies travelled from around the world to present at the seminar. With a total of 17 distinguished speakers (Prof Mark von Itzstein, Prof Kenneth Merz Jr) the event was a kickstart for possible collaborations with several national universities as well as international universities like Pasteur Institute (Uruguay), Griffith University, National Institute of Chemistry (Slovenia) and Kasetsart University (Bangkok).

 

The workshop focused on imparting knowledge and discussing the ramifications and potential benefits of developing a natural product repository in Malaysia. Subject matter experts in the field of natural products compound library management and automation were on hand to review current trends and case studies as well as facilitate the discussion session with participants.

 

Natural Products Repository Centre Workshop 2009

 

 

 

 

Penang, 10 Nov 2009 – IPharm recently organized a Natural Products Repository Centre Workshop on the 5th of November 2009 at the Marriott Hotel, Putrajaya. The event was a joint effort between the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation and the Queensland Compound Library, Griffith University, Australia.

 

The workshop focused on imparting knowledge and discussing the ramifications and potential benefits of developing a natural product repository in Malaysia. Subject matter experts in the field of natural products compound library management and automation were on hand to review current trends and case studies as well as facilitate the discussion session with participants.
