Riadah IPharm - MOSTI 2009

Penang, 20 Oct 2009 – On the 17th of October, IPharm hosted the inaugural Riadah IPharm-MOSTI, held at the USM sports complex. The event, which was officiated by the Honorable Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Tuan Haji Fadilah bin Haji Yusof, saw members from both the IPharm and MOSTI Putrajaya contingent competing in futsal, badminton, ping-pong and netball. Competition was fierce as both teams vied for the coveted Dato’ Isa Cup.

The day’s events culminated with a dinner and prize-giving ceremony with this year’s champions, the MOSTI contingent, walking away with the Cup.

IPharm Team Building

Penang, 16 Oct 2009 – Strong team work is crucial for the success of any organization. With this in mind, IPharm conducts annual Team Building getaways, getting its staff a much needed break away from the office to enjoy the exciting outdoors and reinforce the IPharm team spirit. This year’s program was held at the Bukit Merah Laketown Resort in Perak from 9-11 October.

In his opening speech, the Director-General urges the IPharm team to strengthen its resolve and adopt a “World-Class” mentality that befits a national centre of excellence. He also stresses on the importance of meeting the expectations and responsibilities that have been set by the Government and the People as well as the need to overcome challenges that lie ahead.

Among the highlights of the 3-day program included a rafting competition in the Bukit Merah Lake. Staff members were divided into teams and assembled rafts for a race that, under the burning October sun, proved to be a grueling test of endurance, skill and team work.
